A Heart's Return

A Heart's Return
Have you ever been so lost in love that you forgot where you were going?

I used to be like that too. Every day, my heart clung to things that were never meant to last.

Beautiful dreams. The world felt like a garden in bloom. Yet somehow, I kept losing my way, like a broken GPS in the dark.

One night, while sitting alone with a cup of Maggi, tears suddenly began to fall.

“Ya Allah…” I whispered.

I remained in sujud for a long time, my fingers wrapped around a worn tasbih I had neglected for far too long.

The silence of that night felt almost like a test. Yet somewhere within me, I knew Allah had never abandoned me.

Little by little, something in my heart began to change.

I was no longer consumed by human love that could be sweet one moment and painful the next. Instead, I began to find peace in drawing closer to Allah.

I laughed to myself, remembering how I once cried because my crush hadn't replied to me on WhatsApp.

Now I could stay in sujud long enough to forget about checking my phone.

Whenever another trial came, I sometimes felt as though my spirit might collapse. But Allah's mercy would come in ways I never expected.

Deep inside, I was reminded that I was never truly alone.

I placed my heart in Allah's mercy and forgiveness, my prayers woven with hope as I sought His pleasure.

At last, I understood.

This hijrah of love wasn't simply about leaving the world behind. It was about finding my way towards a love that would never end.

“La ilaha illallah.”

Now, every breath reminds me of the path I have chosen. Every moment brings me closer to Allah.

Who would have thought that a midnight cup of Maggi and a quiet sujud could mark the beginning of the most beautiful love of all?
