Emotional Reflection

Lost Within Myself

Lost Within Myself
"Two hours have passed... and still nothing," Farha muttered softly as she stared at her screen. "This phone too. So stubborn. Doesn't it want to help my post go viral?"

The phone stayed silent. No vibration. No notifications. Farha let out a small laugh. "Good. Stay quiet. Just like my followers. They're there, but somehow they don't do anything."

She leaned against the wall as Tersesat Dalam Diri slowly filled the room. It was the song she had just posted. Tersesat Dalam Diri by Kelibatmu. She had made a simple video. Just her face illuminated by the faint light coming through the window. The caption was short. "Maybe I'm just a shadow."

"In a lonely alley without a shadow..." the singer's voice felt as though it was reading directly from her heart. Farha exhaled slowly. "Yeah, that's right. Maybe I'm just a shadow too." She continued talking to herself, half serious, half amused.

These days everyone was a content creator. Some recorded reels behind layers of filters. Some chased reach and algorithms. Some became motivational experts overnight with a cup of coffee in hand. The online world had become one enormous stage. Everyone wanted to speak at once. And when everyone is speaking, who is left to listen?

She smiled bitterly. "I posted a Kelibatmu song, but everyone's busy pushing their own trending sounds. I'm waiting for likes while everyone else is waiting for exactly the same thing."

Farha lowered her head and laughed quietly. "Maybe I'm not even human anymore. Maybe I'm content. A digital ghost wandering around looking for engagement that never comes." She switched to the front camera and stared at her own reflection. "Farha, are you okay?" she asked softly. "I guess I am. Maybe I'm just... lost inside myself."

She closed her eyes for a moment as the song reached its chorus. "I no longer recognize even my own face..." Farha opened her eyes again, this time with a calmer smile. "Maybe I don't need everyone to understand me. Maybe it's enough if I understand myself first."

She pressed the post button once more. Not for likes. Not for attention. Just as a small reminder that she was still here. Still trying.

And quietly, she realized something. This is what happens when content creators spend their time chasing followers from other content creators. Everyone is busy building their own stage. No one has time to watch someone else's performance. It isn't anyone's fault. The world has simply become too full of voices. Until even sincerity sometimes disappears beneath the noise.

And somewhere between the silence and the spotlight, Farha knew... This wasn't the end yet.
